Brilliant Motion & 3D Prints

Lenticular Printing

Companies constantly seek innovative ways to communicate their messages effectively. Lenticular technology transforms standard prints into engaging experiences that captivate viewers.

What is Lenticular Printing?

Lenticular printing is a revolutionary technique that elevates standard images by creating stunning visuals with depth and movement. This captivating process involves segmenting multiple images into strips, which are interlaced and printed on a plastic lenticular lens.

Lenticular Effects:

  • Flip-Image (two images change from one image to the other)

  • Animation / Motion Effects (The motion, zoom, or morphing illusion lenticular printing is achieved with a series of 3 to 10* frames.)

  • 3D Lenticular (3D lenticular printing is a way to present a 3D illusion on a flat surface.)

Lenticular Design Tips

Flip Lenticular

Animated FLIP Lenticular is two images that change from one to another.

  • Send us two images (depending on the art, a 3 image flip can be done)

  • File prepared to the desired size, plus 1/8" bleed on all sides

  • 300 dpi (image resolution) Photoshop, Vector EPS or Editable PDF file

  • CMYK for color accuracy

  • Minimum font size depends on the lens and product size (contact us)

  • Avoid using white or very light colored backgrounds in Flip lenticular art. This will produce a ghosting effect that will show 10% to 15% of both images at the same time.

  • Use vibrant colors and full ink coverage. They work best at producing a clean flip from one image to another.

3D Lenticular

Create your 3D design as a layered Photoshop file. We interlace your design with out proprietary software to line up with the lenticular lens to bring your art to life.

  • File must be provided as a layered 300 dpi (image resolution) Photoshop file

  • Arrange layers in order you wish them to appear

  • Designate one layer to be your “Focal Point” (Text and logos are usually positioned here)

  • You may use up to 15 layers of depth

  • Minimum font size depends on the lens and product size (contact us)

  • Bleed
    (Top & Bottom) 1/8" bleed
(Left & Right) bleed varies on print size and lens

  • DO NOT use backgrounds with solid colors or horizontal stripes. They do not provide a depth reference to the observer.

  • Overlap Design Elements provides a frame of reference to the different layers. The more three-dimensional your file looks when it’s flat, the more amazing your 3D lenticular will be.

Motion Lenticular

Motion, Zoom & Morph Effects

  • Artwork for MOTION – Send us one image for each frame of motion, or send us HD quality video.

  • Artwork for ZOOM – Send us the first and last frame and we will create the frames in-between.

  • File prepared to the desired size, plus 1/8" bleed on all sides

  • 300 dpi (image resolution) Photoshop, Vector, Editable PDF, or HD video file

  • Minimum font size depends on the lens and product size (contact us)

  • Avoid using white or very light colored backgrounds in Flip lenticular art. This will produce a ghosting effect that will show 10% to 15% of both images at the same time.

  • A common background should be maintained for optimal effect (3 to 10 frames recommended).

  • Fewer frames the better – Illustrating your message with as few frames as possible will create a better lenticular product.
